Bookstacks Heads to Heritage Key

24 Mar

Kghia at Stonehenge (Heritage Key)

Kghia steps into the Bookstacks Pub, brushing dust off her pant legs. Simeon looks up from his book as her movements attract his attention. “K? You don’t look…quite like yourself. What have you been up to?”

Kghia looks up and pushes the braids out of her face. “Hmmm. Well, I decided I wanted to do a little exploring, and I ended up someplace else.”

“This is Second Life. Everything *is* else.”

Kghia chuckles. “I left Second Life to visit another virtual world. I decided to check out the Heritage Key that the people at Rezzable created. I spent the morning stomping through history and learning about Stonehenge. Did you know the Bluestones there are from Wales?”

” Yes, from Mynydd Y Preselau. Some say people dragged them there; others that glaciers did the hard part. But tell me about The Heritage Key.”

Kghia flashes Simeon her biggest smile. “Oh, it is great! Ancient Egyptian tombs, Chinese mummies. some cool steampunk clothes. You need to sign up and get logged in. We are going to hold a book discussion over there on April 10. Maybe you can toss in a few trivia questions and we’ll give away a book.”

“K, what have you gotten us into this time?”

“New worlds to explore and more book lovers to talk with. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?”

Bookstacks is expanding to hold book discussions at Heritage Key. Our first discussion will be April 10 at 7 pm for those in the UK (11 am for those of you running on SLT). The first discussion will focus on “Books to Films” – be prepared to talk about anything from “To Kill a Mockingbird” to “Blade Runner.” as well as speculating about such up and coming future masterpieces as the “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” movie that is in the works. We will throw in a some book trivia questions and a giveaway as well.

See you there!
