Bookstacks: Book to Film – The Princess Bride

This event starts a new monthly series of books to film. This evening we are discussing William Goldman’s The Princess Bride. Goldman plays with the stereotypes of classic fairy tale adventure, asking reader – and viewer – to examine them, while still holding true to the intent of such stories. We will discuss those stereotypes and how well the book translated to the screen. (Meet at The Pub)
