OTS with Crap Mariner (Laurence Simon) on Sunday

This Sunday on Off the Shelf, Simeon and I will interview one of Second Life’s most iconic personalities — Crap Mariner. Podcaster, live music enthusiast, and author, Crap is one of the most recognized robots on the grid. We are going to talk with him about his 100 word stories and anything else we can get him to admit to writing. I’m sure we’ll talk about Linden Labs, marketing in virtual worlds, the play he is performing in, and a few topics that will take us all by surprise.

Join us in the Off the Shelf podcast studio on Sunday, April 11 at 1 p.m. SLT/PDT.

Peter May: Off the Shelf Interview

On Episode 4 of the second season of “Off the Shelf”, Simeon and Kghia speak to Peter May, author of The China Thrillers and The Enzo Files.  In addition to his award winning novels, Peter discusses his newest novel, Virtually Dead, which is set in Second Life.

To research his new novel, Peter created an avatar (Flick Faulds) in Second Life and spent a year running a detective agency in the virtual world. From his experiences, he has spun a tale tying real life, the metaverse, and murder together.

You can find more information about Peter May on his website. Flick Faulds also has a website with a sample chapters of the new novel.
